Take a step back, Get out of Context, See the big picture…
At LBF, we aim to take a break from our daily routines, temporarily distance ourselves from our daily problems, and see the bigger picture of both our lives and our businesses.
We strive to exchange experiences on issues that concern us from a new perspective, with an Open Mind and Curiosity (Shoshin mindset and Curiosity).

👋 LBF Mindset
The key tool for getting the most out of our days at LBF is the Shoshin mindset, also known as the beginner’s mindset.
The Shoshin mindset, which means "beginner's mind" in Japanese, has the following main features:
- Open Mind: A willingness to see things from new perspectives and to try new things.
- Curiosity: A desire to learn and understand without prejudice.
- Flexibility: A willingness to change opinions and behavior when exposed to new information.
- Humility: The recognition that there is always something to learn from others.
This mindset is considered valuable in many areas, especially in entrepreneurship. It helps people avoid narrow-mindedness and continue to learn and improve.

The Forum
At LBF, we are going to have a unique forum experience, wherein 1.5 days all members will do a deep dive. We will be divided into 4 forums (6 to 7 members), where we will have three 4-hour forum sessions:
- Friday 9 AM - 1 PM, we will all get together to talk about the process, then the groups will be announced, and they will isolate in private spaces to start their forum until 1 PM when we will have lunch. In the first session, we will have:
- Lifelines (~1 hour): Everyone will make a brief presentation of significant moments in their lives so that we can quickly get context about the members of our forum.
- 5% updates and Parking Lot (~1 hour): We will present our updates while simultaneously doing a parking lot with the topics of the presentations/deep dives.
- Deep Dives (~2 hours): Deep dives will begin with life coaching. Since all forum members will present, some members who may be ready will start. Note that you may have prepared the topic of your presentation beforehand, but it is also possible to choose or change it during the process.
The goal is to have 1 presentation by noon.
- Friday 3 PM - 7 PM, after lunch, we will continue the forums with the deep dives until 7 PM, where we will end to meet again all together (all 3 forums) at 8 PM for dinner, some wine, and relaxation.
The goal is to have 2 to 3 presentations by the evening.
- Saturday morning 9 AM - 1 PM: We will gather all the forums together to briefly discuss our experience and then continue the forums until noon when we will have lunch and then return by bus for those who do not remain.
The goal is to have 2 to 3 presentations by noon.
The forums will be created from members who are not together in the monthly forum (as much as possible), and who do not have business conflicts. We'll try to have one woman in each forum and also have a good mix of tenured and new members.
Preparation
To get the most out of HBF, it would be beneficial to prepare a bit earlier. For the preparation, we have used the preparatory material from the EBC (European Bridge Chapter). Below are detailed instructions and a quick checklist:

💡 CHECKLIST
In order to be best prepared for the HBF forum, you need to:
- Prepare your Lifeline
- Watch the Mindset video and the Live Coaching video
- Prepare your 5% updates
- Optionally, it would be good to have thought of a topic for your presentation/deep dive. However, you can decide this during the forum.

We will be divided into forums with members we haven't previously met. Initially, we'll get to know each other better by presenting our lifelines. You can find the template to prepare your lifeline here:
